Winter Advent in Trogir exceeded all expectations: The city shone like never before

Trogir has left behind another extremely successful edition of the Winter Adventure, an event that this year confirmed its status as one of the most attractive Advent events in Dalmatia.

During the 31-day program, as many as 60 diverse events were held, and concerts and central events gathered a large number of visitors from all over Croatia and abroad.

The center of the Advent events was Ivan Pavla II Square, which this winter, with ever richer holiday lighting and decorations, became a real backdrop for a winter atmosphere rarely seen in this part of the Adriatic. It was the visual identity of the city, further improved in 2025, that gave a special touch to the entire event and created an unforgettable atmosphere for all generations

Musical spectacles

The audience’s special attention was attracted by the rich musical program with numerous concerts by local, national and regional performers. During December, performances in Trogir included, among others, Adi Ĺ oše (5.12.), Valentino (6.12.), Klapa Ĺ ufit (10.12.), Aerodrom (12.12.), Jole (13.12.), Jelena Rozga (19.12.), Teška industrija (23.12.), Dalmatino (26.12.), Jacques Houdek (29.12.), while New Year’s Eve on December 31st was marked by performances by Centrifuga band and XXS band, with a large crowd gathered in the town square.

The beginning of the new year was not without celebration either – on January 1st, Luka NiĹľetić made the audience dance, confirming that the Winter Advent successfully combines the holiday and New Year’s spirit.

Children’s program, tradition and sports

This year, the Winter Advent was strongly focused on families and the youngest, with a total of 15 children’s events, including performances, celebrations of the holidays of St. Nicholas and St. Lucia, the arrival of Santa Claus and the children’s New Year’s Eve. In addition to the city center, the programs were held in Plano and Ĺ˝edno, which further connected the event to the wider city area.

Traditional events such as the lighting of Advent candles in the Franciscan monastery of St. Anthony on Drid and cod on Christmas Eve gave the event a strong local and cultural dimension, while the sports part of the program was completed by the Adventura Trail race, held on December 21.

Advent that sets standards

The Winter Advent in Trogir once again showed how a high-quality, free and content-rich program can attract tens of thousands of visitors, extend the tourist season and at the same time raise the quality of social life of the local community. With a rich program, full squares and a luxuriously decorated city, Trogir justifiably earned the title of one of the most desirable Advent destinations in the region this winter.
